Commonwealth Service Plans, Inc. ("Commonwealth") would like to introduce you to the future of personal legal services. Commonwealth’s innovative and revolutionary personal Legal Service Plan (“LSP”) is unlike any pre-paid legal plan offered by others.

Pre-paid legal plans generally require that a member pay an enrollment fee (a one time charge ranging between $10 and $25) as well as a monthly service fee (ranging between $25 and $60 per month) for access to attorneys that perform certain “free” services for members (typically, consultations, access to pre-printed legal forms and document review). When a pre-paid legal plan member needs actual legal services, the attorneys charge the pre-paid legal plan member a discount (about 25%) off the attorneys’ standard fees for services performed. (Although legal fees vary based upon location, the experience of the lawyer, and the type of services provided (from a national low of $75 per hour to a high in excess of $1,500 per hour), the national average of legal fees billed by attorneys to their clients as of January, 2009 is approximately $300 per hour. Therefore, a typical pre-paid legal plan attorney would provide a 25% discount off a legal fee of $300 per hour and charge an average legal fee of $225 per hour to the pre-paid legal plan member.)

Compared to ALL pre-paid legal plans, Commonwealth’s LSP charges its Members LESS ($29.99 per month) and gives MORE (5 hours of legal services (worth at least $1,500 based upon the national average) within a 12 month period). That is, for an annual fee of about $360, a Commonwealth Member can have 5 hours of actual legal services. In addition, Commonwealth's enrollment fee of $29.99 may be reduced for certain Qualified Members! (What's This?) And there's more good news. In the event that a Member simply wants MORE legal services (i.e., greater than 5 hours during the 12 month period), then the Member will be billed by the attorney at the incredible LOW discounted rate of $79.99 per hour (the "Discount Rate")!
